River Rock Outfitters is the ONLY outfitter on the Bighorn River whose primary objective is duck hunting.    We are not a fishing operation supplementing our fishing season.   We’re duck hunters first.  You can expect professional boats, great calling, perfect decoy placement, tireless scouting, and master level dogwork.  River Rock Outfitters offers a world class Montana waterfowl hunting experience primarily over moving water.  We’ve been doing “small water” hunts for over 30 years!

Experienced Guides & Proven Success​

Our team features only licensed US Coast Guard captains, hand-picked for their temperament, knowledge, and hunting instincts. With Jeremy’s guiding experience since 1994 and a proven track record as Montana’s largest waterfowl outfitter, you can trust our expertise. We’re duck hunters at heart, and it shows.

We shoot over decoys only and do not consider pass shooting or jump shooting to be duck hunting. While we cannot guarantee limits everyday, it is very common to be done before 1pm. We will be off the river no later than 2pm to allow the birds a comfortable roost in the evening.

The Bighorn Valley sees over 300,000 Canada Geese migrating through each year. We love the challenge of calling in these giant honkers, boasting a successful limit harvest exceeding 90% over the past five seasons, including many Quill Lakes Canadas.
